Local forecasts are based on weather forecasts produced by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, ECMWF and the Danish Meteorological Institute, DMI. At the Icelandic Meteorological Office, automatic statistical methods are used to localise such forecasts.

Southeast 5-13 m/s and snowshowers, but mostly dry in North-Iceland. Temperature around freezing. East 10-18 m/s in the evening and over night with snow or rain in many areas.
South 18-28 m/s in the east tomorrow, but variable wind 10-20 elsewhere. Rain or sleet and temperature 2 to 8 deg. C., but snow in the northwest.
Becoming west and southwest 20-30 m/s late in the day with snow or snowshowers and cooling temperatures, but clearing in the east part. Decreasing wind in the south by evening.

On Tuesday:
Southwest 10-18 m/s and snowshowers but mainly fair in the northeast part of Iceland. Light frost. Slightly increasing wind by evening,
On Wednesday:
Southwest 13-20 and snowshowers but ongoing dry in the northeast part. Increasing in the afternoon and becoming warmer with rain or sleet, widely south 20-28 m/s ( severe gale or storm ) by evening.
On Thursday:
South 23-30 m/s ( storm or violent storm) by morning and considerable rain. Temperature 6 to 14 degrees C., warmest in föhn wind in the northeast part of the country. Becoming southwest 10-18 after noon with snowshowers and becoming colder, first in the west part of the country.
On Friday:
South and southwest 10-18 and snow or snowshowers but mainly dry in the northeast and east part. Light frost.
On Saturday:
Increasing south wind with rain or sleet and becoming warmer. Ongoing dry in the northeast part.
